On Friday 21st March 2014 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute for Supply Chain and Logistics (ISCL) and the Malaysian Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) from the MIT Global Scale Network. This sets in place a framework for cooperation between the two organisations.

The Institute for Supply Chain and Logistics (ISCL) is an Institute of Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia which has developed a research focus and post graduate teaching program closely aligned to industry needs. Particularly, the program is focused on supply chain integration and efficiency and is closely aligned with research and teaching expertise related to Australia’s export-oriented chains including major coal and iron ore chains, integrated container and agribusiness chains.

The MISI/MIT Global Scale Network with its emphasis on supply chain integration, innovation and efficiency as well as its concern for quality education programs to achieve supply chain and logistics excellence offers exceptional opportunity for cooperation.

The Memorandum of Understanding is designed to enhance cooperation between the two parties to achieve leadership skills in managing increasingly complex global supply chains.

Professor Ross Robinson and Professor Sophia Everett are Professorial Research Fellows and Associate Directors of Academic Research. The Institute for Supply Chain and Logistics is directed by Dr Hermione Parsons.
