MISI Dr. Shardul Phadnis has been selected as the winner of the 2015 “Industry Studies Association” (ISA) “Giarratani Rising Star Award”. Dr. Phadnis receives this award for his paper, coauthored with Prof. Charles Fine of MIT Sloan School of Management, titled “End-to-End Supply Chain Models for the Apparel Industry”. Dr. Phadnis will present his paper and receive the award on May 28 in Kansas City, at the ISA’s annual conference
Industry Studies Association was established in 2007 to promote the kind of scholarship fostered by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation’s sponsorship of academic research on industries through research centers at major universities. The Giarratani award is named in honor of Prof. Frank Giarratani, the founding president of the ISA.
“Giarratani Rising Stars Award” is one of the three awards given each year at the ISA’s annual conference to the best paper to “have made a significant contribution” to industry studies by a junior faculty member.
