Dr. Ghosh is the lead author of a newly published a book chapter in the Sustainable Operations in India. In this publication, he notes that sustainability is fast emerging as the new paradigm of conducting business in emerging economies, based on the observations in India and China. The study shows that an increasing focus on the environmental impact of firms’ operations is one of the factors that drive green initiative of firms. This finding comes at an important time when fast-growing economies are often criticized for promoting growth at a high cost to the natural environment.
