16 Oct 17

At Inflection 2017, the APAC Supply Chain, Logistics, and Procurement Summit, held in Singapore on October 12-13th, Dr. David Gonsalvez from the Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) presented “Autonomous Trucking: Driving the Future of Freight?”

His presentation highlighted elements of the business case for autonomous trucking and the state of the art in the development of driverless trucks. Hauling freight with autonomous trucks offers benefits from both cost and safety perspectives, especially in countries with good highway infrastructure and driver shortages. While autonomous trucks may not be running on the roads of Asian countries in the near future, Asian technology companies can help build the technology needed!
