My MISI Journey

I am elated to share my tete-a-tete with the MISI family. The journey has been quite enriching on a personal level- many of which cannot be explicitly described in words. I have learnt a great many things as a student here. It has changed my entire outlook on and attitude towards life.


Reflecting on the First Six Months

I was blessed being accepted on the MSCM program by MISI (Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation), the 4th MIT Global SCALE Network Center in Asia and being able to live in the same time zone as my family and my 3-year-old son back in Shanghai China. It is not an ordinary Master program like anywhere else, as a member of the second batch of this newly formed institute by MIT and Malaysia Government, we had the privilege to study in the most rapidly changing part of the world – Asia, and to study the elaborately designed No. 1 supply chain program created by MIT CTL (Center of Transportation and Logistics) taught by MIT affiliated professors.


GLCS Logisym 2015 conference

GLCS LogiSYM Malaysia 2015 was held on the 7th and 8th of October at the Empire Hotel, Selangor. GLCS LogiSYM is a Global Logistics and Supply Chain Symposium which was on many lines equivalent to a TED talk except this one was directed to all those Logistics and Supply Chain Professionals in the ASEAN region. Darryl and his team brought to us one of the finest symposium’s in Asia with around 50 international speakers.


Outward Bound for Class 2016

Right after the GLCS LogiSYM conference, we plunged head on into our Outward Bound trip for the year. The MSCM batch of 2016 has been a unique batch in a number of ways – right from the number of girls outnumbering the number of boys to the different cultures we all come from. The icing on top of the cake was that more than half the class didn’t know how to swim.
