Dr David Gonsalvez Spoke at the Global Supply Chain Innovation Summit 2017, India

MISI CEO & Rector, Dr. David Gonsalvez, spoke at the Global Supply Chain Innovation Summit held in Gurgaon, India on 10th and 11th April, 2017. The theme of the conference was ‘Innovate Digitize Lead’. In his talk, Dr Gonsalvez, touched on the challenges facing e-commerce companies in creating efficient low-cost supply chains.

He discussed examples from several on-line grocery companies, as well as grocery chains, that are operating on-line, and as brick and mortar set-ups. He also shared some lessons learned from past successes and failures of ecommerce companies, and presented some new approaches taken by Walmart, Kroger, and Amazon to overcome challenges faced in this sector.
