Dr. Phadnis Opens Penang Dialog By Discussing How to Invest in IoT to Improve Supply Chains

Dr. Shardul Phadnis gave a presentation to open the annual Penang Dialog of the American Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) on Thursday, October 5. Speaking to an audience of a few dozen industry leaders, Dr. Phadnis presented described the implications of internet of things (IoT) for managing supply chains and how companies should think about investing in this emerging technology. Dr. Phadnis’ talk was followed by a presentation on artificial intelligence and supply chains by Mr. M.K. Koh (Director of Global Industry at IBM), a panel session discussing the growth of the Penang Cluster by three senior executives in E&E industry, and keynote addresses by the U.S. Ambassador to Malaysia Kamala Shirin Lakhdir and Penang Chief Minister Y.A.B. Lim Guan Eng.
