Dr. Phadnis facilitates panel discussion on supply chain talent at LogiSYM Singapore
Dr. Shardul Phadnis was invited to facilitate a plenary panel session at the LogiSYM 2016 Conference in Singapore, on Mar 9 and 10. Dr. Phadnis led the panelists – from academia and the industry – through a discussion about what companies and academics in South East Asia should do to develop talented supply chain professionals that can address the needs of the region’s companies, as they play increasingly bigger roles in global supply chains. Despite the panelists’ diverse, and sometimes contrary, viewpoints, the panel concluded with a general consensus about greater need for the academia and the industry to collaborate for developing supply chain talent. Ms. Sekar Pratiwi, an MSCM candidate from MISI, also attended the conference as a volunteer.
The theme of LogiSYM 2016 was “Future Forward Supply Chains: Imagining Tomorrow’s Supply Chains, Today!”. More than 250 people from over 180 organizations attended the conference.
