MISI Research Fest 2017

MISI had its Research Fest 2017 event Monday 29th May 2017. The event was well attended by students, industry partners and academics. During the morning session, MISI faculty shared updates on their research initiatives. The topics that were presented include Sustainable Supply Chain; Sustainable Operations; Mobility, Procurement, E-commerce; Designing Supply Chain Strategy: Minds and Models; and Business Process Reengineering and Reverse Logistics.
In the afternoon, the students from the MSCM Class of 2017 and three students from the PSCM program, presented the outcome of their thesis research projects. A jury panel was appointed to evaluate and decide on the best thesis project. The jury was comprised of Hans Rausch (VP, Supply Chain Management, Bumi Armada), Chan Kuan Leng (First VP, Group Warehouse & Logistics, Yeo Hiap Seng), Abhay Kekre (Supply Chain Director, Johnson & Johnson), Prof Premkumar Rajagopal (CEO & President, MUST), and Dr Debabrata Ghosh (MISI Faculty). The best thesis project award went to Harsukhvir Godrei and Olajide Olugbenga who worked on a project titled Optimal Method for Forecasting Demand in an Uncertain Environment
