The Center for Sustainable Small-owners (CSS) at MISI Conducts Technical Assessment for Smallholder Farmer Collection Centers with MIMOS


The Smallholder Farmers Collection Centers (CC) gathered for the briefing process of the CSS technical assessment

On 13th November 2019, The Center for Sustainable Small-owners (CSS) at MISI conducted a technical assessment for 10 Smallholder Farmers Collection Centers (CC) in Batu Pahat, Johor.

The assessment allowed the farmers to review existing IT infrastructure and practices used by the Collection Centers. It helps to perform the purchase and selling of oil palm Fresh Fruit Bunch (FFB) as well as understanding the financial supply chain between the involved parties.

MISI CSS technology partner, Malaysia’s National Applied Research and Development Centre (MIMOS) participated in the review of the IT system process. During this visit, the CC owners and the administrative staff were interviewed to understand the process.

This technical assessment is part of the Digitalization initiative of the Sustainability Journey in the P&G Smallholder program.
