Deputy Academic Registrar

Job Title: Deputy Academic Registrar


  1. Be responsible for and oversee student records as per MISI and Regulatory Agencies requirements and guidelines;
  2. Organize and manage student registration, graduation functions, and other MISI events or functions as required;
  3. Supervise the coordination, evaluation, and certification of all graduation applications;
  4. Oversee the complete graduation process to include all elements of the rehearsal and the convocation ceremony to ensure positive student, guest and stakeholder experiences;
  5. Ensure compliance to MISI Academic Affairs Quality Assurance;
  6. Ensure compliance to other Regulatory Agencies’ policies, procedures, and required legislation;
  7. Provide support and leadership to the administration team in achieving organizational goals.
  8. Collaborate with Management, Faculty and Directors to facilitate and improve services to students, and staff.
  9. Liase with other relevant senior staff to ensure the efficient and effective exchange of information and the execution of procedures relating to the work of the Office and to provide relevant, accurate and detailed data to support internal monitoring and external reporting requirements;
  10. To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably expected.


  1. A Bachelor's degree at the very minimum. A PhD or an MBA (or equivalent) is an advantage
  2. Significant experience within a similar role or environment;
  3. At least 5 years of related experience in a managerial role including managing people, in a higher educational institution,
  4. Experience with MOHE and MQA requirements and relevant agencies in higher education
  5. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in BM and English,
  6. Able to work with diverse populations
  7. Ability to plan and manage change from conceptualization to successful implementation
  8. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access
  9. Close familiarity with the MOHE and MQA Academic Infrastructure, Framework for Higher Education Qualifications and Codes of Practice.

You must:

  1. Be able to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team.
  2. Have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships at all levels in any circumstances;
  3. Have the ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters
  4. Be able to work confidently on own initiative.

Marketing Director

Job Title: Marketing Director


  1. Responsible for marketing of MISI educational programs, research projects and industry outreach efforts
  2. Responsible for developing industry, government, and university relationships to promote MISI and MISI programs in Malaysia and Asia
  3. Plan and execute MISI marketing plan for online, print, and other advertising
  4. Plan and execute development and maintenance for MISI website and social media platforms.
  5. Provide regular customer feedback/request and market update to the Management
  6. Develop sales tools and marketing material for MISI programs
  7. Lead the marketing team of 3 people
  8. Conduct competitive strategic analysis, consumer segmentation, and consumer insight development
  9. Other duties for promoting MISI may be assigned by the Management from time to time.


  1. Undergraduate Degree, Desired: Master's Degree in Marketing or related field
  2. Core skills: Marketing, Communication, Planning.
  3. At least 5 years of working experience in marketing, website management and social media.
  4. Excellent command of spoken and written English is required
  5. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills in BM and English
  6. Able to work with diverse industries and organizations.
  7. Ability to plan and manage marketing budgets

Job Title: Assistant Professor / Associate Professor

Faculty Positions – Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI)The Malaysia Institute for Supply Chain Innovation (MISI) is one of the centers of the MIT Global SCALE (Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence) Network an international alliance of leading-edge research and education centers, dedicated to the development and dissemination of global innovation in supply chain and logistics. Together, this network of centers educates hundreds of master’s students, doctoral candidates, and executives each year.MISI is recruiting for two faculty positions  at the Associate and Assistant Professor level to support research activities in the area of transportation logistics and supply chain management and to teach in the graduate (Master & PHD) and executive education programs at MISI


Faculty members are responsible for advancing the center mission of excellence in education, research, and corporate engagement. All faculty members are expected to develop, design, and deliver world-class teaching material at the master and doctoral levels. As part of the research team, faculty members are responsible for creating, supporting, and disseminating new knowledge in logistics, supply chain management, and related fields. Faculty are expected to conduct high quality research in collaboration with industry and government; supervise theses; publish in top international journals, academic proceedings, trade journals, and working papers; and participate fully in all industrial and educational programs offered and supported by the MIT Global SCALE centers. Faculty members are expected to work with and be in regular contact with researchers, educators, and thought leaders (academic and practitioner) across the world, including researchers at MIT and the international MIT Global SCALE Network centers. The person should also cultivate industry contacts in order to enhance their research and educational efforts.


Candidates should possess:

  1. A PhD in supply chain management, transportation, logistics, operations management, information systems, engineering, economics, business, or a related discipline;
  2. International exposure, reflected in publications, projects, conference participation and/or guest lectures;
  3. Evidence of the ability to develop and deliver lectures and class material in English at the graduate level (both Masters and Doctoral);Ability to generate sponsored research and promote technology transfer and entrepreneurship;
