New Publication by Dr. Phadnis on End-to-end Apparel Supply Chain Strategy

A new research study by Dr. Shardul Phadnis and Prof. Charlie Fine (of MIT Sloan and Asia School of Business) on the end-to-end strategies of apparel supply chains was published by Production and Operations Management. The study shows that taking an end-to-end perspective can provide novel insights that can contradict conventional wisdom about ideal supply chain strategies. In this study, the authors’ end-to-end perspective involves considering apparel sourcing and retailing decisions jointly, as components of one system. The current industry and academic practices consider these two decisions in isolation.
