MIT Interaction

Throughout the month of January, MISI students will travel to MIT in Cambridge Massachusetts USA to participate in the SCALE Connect. This is a unique MIT semester, which gives students the freedom to choose from a diversity of programs that include, exercises and simulation games, intensive interaction with industry, involving presentations by business experts, poster sessions, academic lectures and seminars.

• A number of supply chain experts offer seminars to provide a practical perspective on real-world and leadership issues. There are also a number of site visits with prominent industry leaders in order to view systems and logistics disciplines.
• World-class leaders in the field of Supply Chain Management will give academic lectures and seminars to students.
• All students from within the MIT network will now be at the culmination of a competition that was initially launched in September. During this time period all Global SCALE network students were remotely working in teams in a Supply Chain Challenge simulation game. Now at MIT the team members from, Massachusetts, Columbia, Spain and Malaysia meet face to face, at the final stage of the competition where they have been managing an international supply chain in a virtual marketplace.
• Please note: Traveling to MIT for the purpose of the SCALE Connect is subject to the student obtaining the necessary US visa as required. While it is the student’s responsibility to obtain the visa, MISI will assist by providing supporting documentation.
