09 Aug 17

Dr. Javad Feizabadi has been awarded a RM 49,000 grant to conduct fundamental research on the topic on ambidextrous supply chains by Malaysia’s Ministry of Higher Education, under the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme. This is the second successful FRGS application by Prof. Feizabadi in two years. As part of this grant, he will use an analytical/simulation approach to look into supply chain design in turbulent and volatile business environments.

Particularly, he will examine how supply chains should be designed to incorporate, simultaneously, explorative and exploitative absorptive capacity. The research outcome will provide insight for supply chain managers on how to design an effective supply chain considering increased level of volatility in the business environment.
