Dr Debabrata Ghosh Joins MISI as a Faculty Member

Dr Debabrata Ghosh joined MISI today as a faculty member. He has over 7 years of professional and academic experience. Prior to joining MISI, he was an Assistant Professor with the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and has been engaged in various teaching, research, consulting and training-related activities. On the teaching front, he has designed and taught elective course on ‘Logistics and Supply Chain Management’ to MBA postgraduate students. He has also taught ‘Operations Management’ course to MBA postgraduate students as a part of their core course. His research interest is in the area of logistics, supply chain management, supply chain coordination, contract design and sustainable operations. He has successfully published papers in International Journal of Production Economics (Elsevier), Decision (Springer) and has many more currently under review.

Dr Ghosh completed his PhD from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. His dissertation was in the area of green supply chains using analytical modeling techniques. While at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, he was the recipient of EADS (now Airbus Group) and Supply Management Institute Scholarship for research on sourcing and supply management. After completing his PhD, he worked for over two years with global Technology and Consulting Firm – Infosys Consulting and during this time advised some of the world’s top retailers and consumer goods companies across Asia, U.S and Middle East.
